What I've Learned 🙂

A step-care model described in NICE Guideline CG90 should be used to administer Venlafaxine MR capsules 75 mg once daily (OM) for major depression. Salbutamol 100 micrograms were to be used in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) when using a metered dose inhaler (MDI) containing 2 puffs of PRN. According to NICE and British National Formulary (BNF) guidelines, maintenance therapy for COPD should be treated with salbutamol 2.5 mg nebulizer solution and tiotropium 2.5 micrograms with 2 puffs OM.

Presenting complaint: Nausea, palpitations, and cough with white/brown sputum for the past week. Unable to concentrate and ‘feeling rough’. Very anxious and agitated. Tachycardia. A patient experiencing suicidal ideation. Past Medical History: Depression, COPD, Type 2 diabetes, Hypertension, Personality disorder.

I have found it beneficial to take Nopril tablets orally, 10mg in the morning for the treatment of proton pump inhibitors, Omeprazole EC capsules must be taken orally, 20 mg in the morning. For COPD exacerbation, I was prescribed prednisolone tablets orally, 30 mg in the morning for two weeks, followed by a reduction and finally discontinuation of the medication.
